Swimming / H20 Polo / Surfing / Rowing

These sports involve repetitive paddling / swimming motions. Depending on the type of style of swimming, different areas in the shoulder can develop adhesion. Some of the most common tissues to be involved are the latissimus dorsi, capsule, and rotator cuff (teres minor, infraspinatus, subscapularis, supraspinatus).

The swim stroke can lead to pinching, overstretching and tearing of the rotator cuff.
