Michael Jones

Patient Success #1556: Michael Jones, 2000 Gymnastics National Champion
Activity that lead to injury: Gymnastics
Official Diagnosis: Torn Rotator Cuff, Myofascitis

I injured my shoulder while training on the rings performing the 'Iron Cross'. I just felt the shoulder go...I don't really know how to describe it. I thought I was screwed. My bench press decreased by almost 60% and I wasn't able to train on the rings at all. I started on Motrin, ice, and rotator cuff stretches and exercises with absolutely no improvement. I saw the 'Shoulder Pain' newsletter at the gym talking about ART. My shoulder was so bad I didn't really expect for it to work. But, it had helped other athletes so I thought I'd give it a try. After just one treatment of ART by Dr. Janzen, I was immediately able to lift more weight. Within 2 weeks my shoulder was full strength and I was easily benching over twice my body weight again. My shoulder feels great and the 'Iron Cross' is no problem now.
